Riverdale, NYC and St. George, Staten Island are considered as the latest and greatest in gay community living, where residents live in a culturally diverse location and enjoy beautiful parks and scenery, in a relatively safe environment.
St. George, Staten Island- is situated on the northeastern tip of the island and is one of the most developed areas of New York City because of its close proximity to the ferry. However, the region declined in popularity in the 1960s when the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge (pictured left), moved the commercial hub of Staten Island to the inner precinct of the island.
