"Those areas have actually fared better than other parts of town," Altland said. Some of the best LGBT buys at present are situated in the following areas: Chelsea and Greenwich Village- Studios $400K; 1 bedroom apartments $600K; and 2 bedroom apartments $1 million. Midtown Manhattan -1 bedroom condo $450K Commercial Street -1 and 2 bedroom homes $500K - $1.6 million. Jamaica Plain -Condos $200K - $1 million.
