Residential Real Estate
Gay and lesbian home-buyers often encounter issues that heterosexual home-buyers do not, and this is why it is important to find a realtor who understands your circumstances and knows exactly how to help you with your transaction, so that you don't encounter any unnecessary pitfalls which could turn your home buying dream into a nightmare.
Here are three 'must do' gay home-buying tips:
1. Visit www.GayRealEstate.com or www.HomeLounge.com to find a gay friendly realtor in your area, or the area that you are wishing to buy in.
2. Find a real estate attorney who is familiar with gay legislation so that you can have the proper deed and title drawn up for your property.
3. Be aware of your state, county, and local laws in regards to sexual orientation, especially where fair housing laws and ordinances are concerned, as many laws have been updated, but not all.

Hi George,
I have updated the link so that you are taken directly to the page. I will also see if I can find some additional links to add to this post so that you can review these also.

I tried to go to Realtytimes.com and find the tips noted, but searching for "Gay and Lesbian home-buyer rights" and "Mark Nash" turned up nothing. Can we get a better link or site that would clearly show these rights? It's got to be very important, especially in this ever-changing environment. Now that marriage is possible for more gays and lesbians, the impact on homeownership and the laws has got to be far greater as well.

Yeah! you're right! 'Gay and lesbian home-buyers often encounter issues that heterosexual home-buyers do not.'
For me when buying a home there must be no division. Anyone should have the right to buy what they want. I enjoyed reading it. Thanks for sharing.
