Residential Real Estate
Not all homes priced under $300,000 are distressed sales, and not all need tender loving care to bring them up to a good standard of living. So whether you are in search of a family home, a luxury town house or a condo in a gated community there are many homes nationwide that are priced under $300,000 in today's market, which have modern conveniences and represent excellent value for money.
In fact, spending $300,000 on a home in Boston will buy you a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath property that is approximately 1600 square feet in size, whereas 3 years ago you would have spent the same money on a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home that was 300 square feet less in size.
The key to finding the right home for you for under $300,000 is market research.
First decide on the areas that suit your personal and family requirements, and then start looking at the prices of homes in these areas using local newspapers and the Internet as your sources of reference. This way you will get a good feel for value and what each area has to offer.
And, when you do find a house that you would like to make your home, for a price that you are willing to pay, don't be afraid to haggle because you just may discover that you get an even better deal.
