Real Estate Market News
Indiana real estate sales are an excellent sign that the states economy is stable and real estate is still considered as a good investment.
Real estate firm, F.C. Tucker Company, recently published pended real estate sales statistics which displayed an increase in sales on a 'year-to-date comparison' for two Indiana counties. In addition to this, Central Indiana has a declining market which is providing a positive outlook for many home sellers.
Overall, Boone County is said to be the strongest real estate market with a 41.9% increase in single family homes and condominiums last month. Shelby County recorded a 15% increase and Morgan 12.3%. Johnson County displayed a 7.9% real estate market growth, whilst Hamilton recorded a 2.5% increase, and Marion 2%.
President of F.C. Tucker Company's Residential Real Estate Services Division, H. James Litten believes that property is probably one of the best investment options.
"In these difficult economic times, your home continues to be the strongest, most lasting investment," Litten said. "The residential real estate market is still on the recovery road from this current downturn. We are making progress, and, as we have in the past Indiana's real estate market will recover stronger and more resilient than ever."
The average sales price for homes in the state of Indiana is $146,247, with homes taking between 83 and 93 days to sell.
