Situated in the Midwestern region of the United States, Missouri is ranked as the 21st largest American state by land mass, and the 18th by population with 5,842,713 residents.
This states economy relies heavily on aerospace development, transportation and electrical equipment production, food processing, publishing, light manufacturing and beer production. Missouri also has many agricultural outputs, these include beef, soybeans, pork, dairy products, hay, corn, poultry and eggs. This state is ranked as the 6th largest producer of hogs and the 7th for cattle in the nation, and it has vast quantities of limestone, lead, coal and stone, which it mines.
Missouri has 10 taxation brackets ranging from 1.5%-6%, and a sales tax of 4.225%. Property tax is assessed by a local assessor and charged at the assessed value, which is then multiplied by the tax rates that have been set by the local government where the property is located. In addition to this, a 3% per $100 of property value is charged by the state government.

The median price for homes in this region of the United States is hovering around the $200,000 mark and sellers are getting 95-100% of their selling price, with no multiple offers being given.
Single family homes are the hottest area of sales at present, and job growth is stipulated as being the greatest influence of market activity in this region. St. Louis typically has a low cost of living and award winning schools.
