Affordable Housing Bill
Montpelier, one of Vermont's gayest zipcodes, was the stage for a residential housing bill that will allow 'new development in appropriate places' and open 'up new housing opportunities for low-and maderate income' earners.
It took 15 officials much of Friday to come to an agreement on a housing bill that would be fitting for all.
As House Speaker Ms. Symington said, "We have taken the next stepto growth policies to encourage growth where communities have said they want it."
The bill will concentrate on urban hubs and impose Act 250 jurisdiction on the larger developments so that housing affordability on at least 20% of homes in " Vermont Nieghborhoods" are around the $250,00 mark or below to purchase.
The bill will also offer tax credits to those who invest affordable housing, which will further assist those who seek affordable housing.
